SAN

Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN) is a copolymer of styrene with acrylonitrile. The typical acrylonitrile content in the SAN compound is between 20-30%. It is mainly used in general purpose polystyrene applications where additional chemical resistance and medium high temperature resistance are required.

SAN is very transparent and has a pleasant brilliance. Its scratch resistance makes it a suitable choice for point-of-sale dispensers and cosmetics.

SAN is slightly yellow in color, but different colored variations are also available. While the standard SAN is not suitable for outdoor use, there are also UV-resistant grades.
